Who We Are

Alchiisoo Pastoralist Up (APU) is a non-sectarian, non- profit indigenous NGO established in January 2022, for the pastoral development and reducing the vulnerability of the communities to climate change in reach area. It was legally registered as a local organization in accordance with the Ethiopian Civil Society Organizations Proclamation No.1113/2019 with Registry Number 6606.

Achievements

Emergency Relief support was provided to host communities, IDP and Students during drought.
On WASH (water tank was donated for School & Community affected by drought).
NFI (Plastic sheet & Water chemicals) was provided for communities affected by drought.
Livestock Feed Assistance was provided.

Proactive health response was provided to tackle outbreaks during drought / mass cholera campaign was conducted.
Capacity building /training was provided for women representative on business skills, to foster women’s participation inmarket and its value chains.
A total of 16,612 households and 91,946 people has reached by APU.
